GIMP stands for the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a free web graphics editor in which you can resize images, compress images, layer images, create graphics and more. In this seminar, you will learn the basics of GIMP by working as a group on a photo project to be determined. Please download and install GIMP to follow along with the class.
About the Instructor
Al Brown is a hardware and software embedded system engineer and project manager from Silicon Valley with over 20yrs experience managing and engineering products from design through development and into manufacturing. He has worked on projects ranging from the deeply embedded systems inside hard disk drives to the on-board computers in you car. He has had roles from product designer to project manager for some of the largest companies in the world and some of the smallest. Now a freelance consultant residing in Flagstaff, Az., he is very active using Linux and other FLOSS technologies to develop usable and sustainable products.
