Mobile Applications. Potential deployment targets are iPhones, Android phones, iPads and wide variety of other notebooks and all the other mobile operating systems and devices out there. There are a large number of philosophies for tackling this mobile world and a correspondingly large group of toolsets that support them. This presentation will discuss one popular approach: using the PhoneGap framework with assistance from JQuery Mobile. First, we will discuss why we selected the PhoneGap framework from all possible implementations, and lay out the current debates surrounding different methodologies. Then we will build a basic Mobile Application in real time: getting a GeoLocation, taking a photo with your camera and implementing navigation from page to page in your application.

About the Instructor

Darryl Brown is owner and operator of 2b design and development, inc in downtown Flagstaff. He received an B.S.
